Anglesea is surrounded by long sandy beaches, coastal heath land and eucalypt forests and is where the Great Ocean Road
first winds its way down to greet the sea.
Anglesea Beach Walk
Enjoy a pleasant stroll along the beach commencing from Anglesea main beach walking to Point Roadknight
(approximately 20 minutes).
Point Addis Koorie Cultural Walk
This walk is a 2km return (or 1 hour) walk commences from Point Addis. There are signs along the way that interpret aspects
of their unique way of life and show how they lived and the harmony with the environment.
Surf Coast Walk
This walk is a marked trail that commences in Jan Juc and finishes at Moggs Creek. While the total distance is around 30km,
the walk consists of several sections to suit your energy level.
PICNIC & BBQ AREAS
There are many BBQ’s, picnic tables and toilets available along the Anglesea River. Another popular picnic spot is in the
Coogoorah Park with BBQ facilities and toilets.
Anglesea has many retail outlets to browse including gift shops, boutique clothes shops and surf shops along with all
the necessities such as a supermarket, bank newsagency.
Anglesea has a variety of fantastic cafes restaurants and eateries to choose.
WINERIES AND LOCAL PRODUCE
There are many fantastic local wine and food producers in the region.
Pick up a copy of the Surf Coast Wine and Produce Trail and go on a mouth watering tour of the Surf Coast.
There are two patrolled beaches during the summer period including Anglesea’s main beach just off the
Great Ocean Road and Point Roadknight Beach.

Anglesea Riverbank Market
A market with assorted stallholders held between 9am-4pm. Held on various Sundays throughout January,
March Long Weekend and Easter.
There are plenty of spots along the Surf Coast. Popular spots around Anglesea include Anglesea River Mouth, Point Roadknight,
Hutt Gully and Urquahrts Bluff. Common catches include Snapper and Salmon.
ACTIVITIES AND SPORT
The Great Ocean Road offers some of Australia's finest cycling, with world-famous coastal scenery and an ever-changing
hinterland providing great opportunities for all levels of cyclists, from families to seasoned professionals.
Anglesea Forest and Flowers Ride (48km)
Anglesea is a township lucky enough to enjoy teh very best of beach and bush.
It is also a mountain biking mecca with townships bush and hinterland ideal for exploration.
Between August and November, the hills burst into colour as wildflowers bloom in their thousands.
Anglesea Adventure Rides (Various)
Experience the scenic bushy surrpunds of Anglesea on one of many mopuntain-bike trails.
The tracks are moderate to advanced skill ranging from 7.8km t0 20.3km.
